Genetic Analysis—discover the first diagnostic biomarker for antibiotic-induced microbiome imbalances
Genetic Analysis AS launches a novel Research Use Only test, the GA-map® MHI GutHealth, providing clinically actionable insights into antibiotic-induced gut microbiome imbalances. The assay combines xMAP Technology with the validated Microbiome Health Index™ (MHI) biomarker from Ferring Pharmaceuticals and is demonstrated in recurrent Clostridioides difficile (rCDI) infected patients.
The test provides an MHI score on a scale from 1 to 6, where a low MHI indicates antibiotic-induced disruptions of the microbiome. It offers rapid baseline microbiome imbalance assessment and enables monitoring of microbiome restoration treatment in rCDI and other infectious diseases, Graft-versus-Host Disease, and immunocompromised patients.

New Invitrogen ProcartaPlex multiplex immunoassays for CNS conditions
A variety of conditions affecting the central nervous system (CNS), such as brain trauma, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease, can trigger neuroinflammation and disrupt the blood-brain barrier. This disruption may lead to elevated concentrations of brain-specific molecules in circulation.
The new Invitrogen™ ProcartaPlex™ multiplex immunoassays for CNS conditions enable the quantification of up to 21 protein targets associated with neurodegeneration, brain injury, and neuroinflammation. Explore our comprehensive target list, featuring unique markers like Neurofilament-Light (NF-L), and gain deeper insights into CNS pathologies.

Multiplex analysis of inflammatory markers using Bio-Plex Pro™ Human Th17 Cytokine Assays
Th17 cells are an important subclass of T-helper lymphocytes that produce IL-17 and other cytokines that play a key role in inflammation-associated conditions such as antimicrobial immunity, cancer, transplant rejection, and autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, lupus and psoriasis. This application article summarizes the validation studies performed on the Bio-Plex Pro™ Human Th17 Cytokine Assays that cover all 16 markers in singleplex and multiplex formats.
