Eurofins Viracor Launches Assays for Pneumococcal Antibody Detection, Expanding Serotype Coverage to Support Immunocompromised Patient Care
Eurofins Viracor has launched a new suite of multiplexed pneumococcal antibody assays to support evaluation of vaccine-induced immunity, particularly in immunocompromised patients. The assays detect IgG responses to all CDC‑recommended pneumococcal vaccines, including the newly approved 21‑valent conjugate vaccine (PCV21), and cover up to 32 Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes. Newly added serotypes expand clinical insight and enable more comprehensive immune monitoring. Quantification is aligned with WHO international standards and demonstrates high accuracy at clinically relevant thresholds. These assays provide fast, sensitive, and specific results, reinforcing Eurofins Viracor’s leadership in advanced immunology diagnostics.

Webinar: Uncovering CAR-T and CAR-NK cell potency using multi-analyte profiling
Learn how to move efficiently from broad discovery and effector cell characterization to targeted, multi-analyte potency assays for immunotherapies. In this webinar, we demonstrate a multiplexed screening approach using R&D Systems™ Luminex-based assays to profile secreted proteins from CAR-T and CAR-NK cells co-cultured with CD19-positive Nalm-6 cells. Screening 123 analytes revealed distinct secretion profiles, with 29 markers differentially secreted by CD19-CAR-T cells and 13 by CD19-CAR-NK cells versus controls, including expected IFN-γ activation signals. These results show how multi-biomarker profiling provides a more representative assessment of effector cell potency.
